y favorite book of all time is the ever wonderful and inspiring “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
Paulo Coelho is a renowned author of over 21 books and remained on the New York Times best seller list for 300 weeks for his book ‘The Alchemist’.
This book changed my life. It’s one I have read over and over again when I felt I needed inspiration or needed to look inward and reflect. The Alchemist helped me get my head out of the grips of worry, confusion and into the mist of fantasy and self-belief.
The Alchemist published in 1988; follows the story of a shepherd boy named Santiago who is in search of treasure. Santiago goes through trials, tribulations and periods of enlightenment that in more ways than one, are relatable to us all and can be translated into our own lives.
Paulo Coelho wrote this book so well that you transcend into the story and join the journey alongside Santiago and if you’re willing to, begin to reflect on yourself and implement the teachings of the Alchemist into your own life. The way this book is written is genius!
I recommend this book to people who like fiction and have a desire to dig deeper about life’s purpose. I also recommend this book for those who like self-help books without the jargon and those seeking enlightenment but are not ready for self-help books yet. It’s a gentle step into the journey of self-discovery. For those who enjoy self-help books, this book is also for you and prompts self-reflection and insight. This book IS for you. Don’t let the mystical writing fool you this is one of the most inspiring and thought-provoking books that has ever been written.
If you have a read of this epic book please let me know what you thought of it.
‘The Alchemist’ can be purchased at most book stores and online here through booktopia.
Happy reading.
